Lower Control Arm Alignment Cam hardware frozen

Alignment Hardware

Alignment Hardware

Alignment Hardware

Your Modern Toyota has 4 of these on the truck.  They allow you to do a front end alignment so you can go down the road smoothly and straight.

Frozen up.

Alignment Hardware

Alignment Hardware

The Center part of this assembly bonds its self to the metal sleeve inside the control arm and does not move as it should.  This keeps you from Aligning the vehicle, and is very important after suspension changes are done.

Cut it off

Replacement

Replacement

When it becomes frozen together, we have to cut them off your truck and replace them.  This is the cross section after we cut them off.  You can see the inner sleeve has bonded its self with the outer bushing sleeve.

Replacement

Replacement

Replacement

We replace the entire arm, because the labor to swap the bushings is about the same as the arm cost.  You also get a brand new lower ball joint with the new arm.  New arm, labor and blades used to chop them off are around $1150 installed.

Sway Bar Links

After Market Front Sway bar Links

Lots of Aftermarket companies want you to think that his is an upgrade from the Original Sway bar link.  The honest truth, we have never seen a set of these not eventually cause damage to the vehicle or the suspension system.  They are not more reliable, and you don't need longer links in your front end, even with mid travel shock set ups.

OEM Front Sway Bar Links

OEM Sway Links are welded, and will not come undone, or cause issues with your truck down the road like aftermarket links will.  They are sealed, have a rubber boot, and last 70K+ miles.  These are a regular maintenance item and should be attended to when they wear out.

After Market Rear Sway Links

After Market Rear Sway Links

After Market Rear Sway Links

In the rear if you do extended rear travel shocks, you do need longer rear sway bar links to use the travel.  Please choose ones that are welded together like this set above.  We stock these for $75.00.

Stock Rear Sway Bar Links

After Market Rear Sway Links

After Market Rear Sway Links

The Stock rear Sway bar links are welded together and don't have failure points like the Threaded kind.  If you don't have extended travel shocks, these work just fine for replacement.

Brakes, Calipers, rotors and Pads:

OEM Brake Job

OEM Brake Job

We strongly believe that the OEM has done a great job with the brakes on these trucks.  Replacing and bleeding your brakes is around $500 for parts and labor and fluids for the Front or rear of your modern Toyota.

OEM +

OEM Brake Job

Power Brake comes to the market with an upgraded Rotor and pad combo to offer a little more bite that the stock pads and rotors offer to help slow down a heavy truck.  This set up costs $1100 installed with brake bleed, for front or rear.  Double the cost of the OEM.

Big Brake Kit

Big Brake Kit

Going with a Big Brake kit that replaces pads, rotors, Calipers, and all hardware to a much more powerful stopping unit that resists brake fade and performs flawless with large oversized tires and heavy trucks. This kit is $3950 Installed with Motul 5.1 Fluid Flushed Through.

Tie Rod Replacement.

Factory Tie Rods

Factory Tie Rods

We strongly believe that the OEM has done a great job with the tie rods on these trucks with factory or near factory tire sizes.  Replacing and installing new inner and out tie rods is maintenance, and costs around $650.00 to exchange them all out.

APEX Tie Rods

Factory Tie Rods

We stock and sell APEX Series Tie Rods for the Tacoma and 4runner  Trucks because they are Soo much stronger than the factory units.  Larger Shafts, ball units and grease-able and good warranty to boot.  These are around $750 installed for a full set.

Comparison

Comparison

The Comparison to Stock Tie rods is that the APEX is larger and much heavier duty in comparison.  They cost a bit more, but if your running larger tires, it may be the difference between driving home or having an trail repair.

So if you have questions, please ask, and if you don't tell us, we don't know till its in front of us.
