What is Fluid Film

When  the U.S. Navy needed to conquer the costs and delays of battling rust  and corrosion in the ballast tanks of its thousands of combat and  support vessels in World War II, an innovative West Coast chemist  formulated a powerful weapon based on an unlikely ingredient: lanolin  (wool wax).

The savings were immediate. The costs of chipping,  sealing and painting were greatly reduced. The new film penetrated  corrosion and rust quickly. Application was simple. Protective action  was long lasting and economical.

The weapon was FLUID FILM®,  produced in a variety of easy-use forms by Eureka Chemical Company.  Operating since the early 1940’s and incorporated in 1953, the company  continues as a family-owned business managed by descendants of the  founding chemist.

From its first seagoing use in the 1940s, FLUID  FILM® has been proved in some of the most severe conditions; Industrial,  agricultural, raw-terrain construction – even on the space shuttle.  Modified over time to adapt to environmental and application  considerations, it’s non-toxic/non-hazardous.. FLUID FILM® continues to  serve as the most effective corrosion control for industry, farming,  industrial and transportation.

We spray the under carriage of your car with a thick coating of  this natural rust fighting product in about 30 minutes.  We use special  high capacity spray guns to lay it on the underside and keep your truck  from starting to rust, or if your new to this process, it will stop the  continuation of rust.  Fluid Film applied over surface rust will stop  its further advance on your vehicle.  We charge $250 for this  application.  If you would like us to drop your spare tire, and remove  your factory skid plates or beauty panels we will do that and spray the vehicle  underside and inside the frame rails using our 360* nozzles with  extensions for $350.00

If you feel your truck needs remediation treatment beyond this coating, we need to look at your truck and give some consultation first.

Some older vehicles need more than a coating to protect the frames.

We do offer wire wheel, POR15 and remediation services that start at $1000 and go up depending on the depth of the restoration or remediation needed.  The Picture here represents a frame that Fluid Film will help stop the rust from continuing, but you may want to remediate the rust and stop it with a competent top coating.

Heavy Wire Wheel:  Clean with Alcohol, Top Coat POR15:  Spray Fluid film interior of frame, spray fluid film exterior of frame:  $2500.00  to $4000 or more

But we can!  We need to see the truck in person to give estimates on repairs like this from $1500 to $7500 for major frame fixes.
